What impressed me most about Pratt Institute were the professors who encouraged students and the helpful faculty and staff. Architecture students learn under the guidance of highly skilled and experienced professional mentors. They empower students and are always available to offer extra help. Advisors also provide tremendous support regarding coursework and financial aid. The course schedule is well-organized. Writing assignments help enhance design thinking. Each semester fosters the development of our creative design abilities. Design studios can be challenging at first. More importantly, the studio is a collaborative environment where we learn to work with professors. In every class, everyone’s input is valued. First, follow your creative instincts, then humbly accept the professor’s suggestions, and you’ll create beautiful work!
As expected in this field, the workload is intense. Every class works together as a team. Tuition for out-of-state students is very high. Some professors run over time, but that’s about all I can complain about. This is a school that provides a high-quality education.
