The University of South Wales was formed in 2013 through the merger of the University of Glamorgan and the University of Wales, Newport, and is currently one of the larger higher education institutions in Wales. With main campuses in Cardiff, Newport and Pontpridd, the university has an enrolment of approximately 23,000 students and offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in fields such as engineering, computing, business, creative industries, health sciences and public policy. Its degrees are accredited by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) and are internationally recognised.
