  • European Studies: With direct ties to international organizations such as the United Nations and the European Union, most graduates go on to work at institutions like the International Court of Justice in The Hague or NATO.
  • International and European Law: Located in The Hague, the capital of international law, law students gain firsthand exposure to international judicial practice.
  • International Business and Management: A model of Dutch business education, emphasizing the development of practical global business skills
  • Industrial Design Engineering: Focuses on the interdisciplinary integration of creativity and technology to cultivate innovative engineers
  • Food Technology: Leveraging the Netherlands’ global leadership in agriculture and food technology, offering broad career prospects

NVAO Accreditation: Globally Recognized Authority and Credibility

THUAS is a state-funded university established by the Dutch government. All of its international undergraduate and master’s degree programs are officially accredited by the Netherlands-Flanders Accreditation Organization (NVAO), and the quality of its education is strictly monitored by the Dutch Ministry of Education. Consequently, THUAS degrees are widely recognized worldwide and are included in the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), allowing course credits to be freely transferred across EU member states. Options for Replacing a Lost Dutch University Diplomas

Currently, THUAS has established partnerships with 216 universities worldwide. With approximately 25,000 students from 135 countries and 1,700 faculty and staff members spread across campuses in Delft, The Hague, and other locations, the international student body fosters a truly global classroom atmosphere.

Practice-Oriented Education: Hone Skills in Real-World Industries

THUAS adopts a “student-centered” hands-on learning model, with all programs requiring a Work Placement module. Before graduation, students must complete a semester-long internship at a company, applying knowledge gained in the classroom to real-world business and technological environments. In the fields of science and engineering, the university integrates seamlessly with the Faculty of Technology, Innovation, and Society at the Delft campus, creating an excellent practical environment that bridges academia, industry, and research.

A Direct Path to International Companies: A Career Springboard Next to EU Institutions

The employment statistics of THUAS graduates are the most compelling aspect of this profile. According to statistics, The Hague University of Applied Sciences ranks among the top in the Netherlands for graduate employment rates, with over 89% of Dutch university of applied sciences graduates finding employment within six months of graduation—yet THUAS outperforms this figure.

The university maintains close industry-academia partnerships with many globally renowned companies and international organizations. Graduates can secure positions at Fortune 500 companies such as Shell, Unilever, AkzoNobel, and DSM. Due to its unique geographical location, students majoring in European Studies, International Law, and International Business are particularly sought after by international institutions such as the European Union and the United Nations.

For international students planning to pursue careers in Europe, graduates are eligible to apply for a one-year “Search Year Visa” after graduation. When seeking employment within the Netherlands, the Dutch government offers very lenient residency policies for highly qualified international graduates, making THUAS degree holders highly competitive in the local job market.
