Why is it so popular?
UAIC’s appeal to students worldwide stems from five core strengths:
- A rich academic tradition and an international collaboration network. As a member of the Coimbra Group, the European University Association, and the Utrecht Network, UAIC has signed bilateral agreements with 666 universities across 78 countries (and regions) and hosts over 500 international exchange students annually.
- A student-centered educational philosophy and innovative curriculum. UAIC was the first university in Romania to allow students to freely choose their majors and minors; this tailored approach has greatly motivated students.
- Outstanding research capabilities. For the past three years, the university has ranked first in Romania’s national research rankings according to Shanghai Ranking’s criteria. Nearly 700 professors and researchers are leading over 187 national and international research projects.
- Cost-effective study abroad expenses and abundant funding opportunities. Tuition and living costs in Romania are significantly lower than in Western European countries, and the university offers extremely generous scholarships, making UAIC an ideal choice for students worldwide seeking to “attend a top-tier university on a budget.”
