For some courses, university-led sessions are conducted in classes of approximately 30 students.
In terms of teaching models, the university employs a hybrid teaching model, allowing students to flexibly choose between in-person and online participation as needed. Taking the MBA program as an example, instruction is delivered in three-day intensive modules, eliminating the need for weekly on-campus attendance and making it easier for working professionals to balance work and study. Many courses combine lectures, seminars, and independent study; in some modules, lectures and seminars account for 30% of the course, while independent study accounts for 70%.
Campus Location and Transportation
Manchester Metropolitan University’s main campus is located in downtown Manchester, adjacent to Oxford Road. The Oxford Road corridor is one of Manchester’s busiest bus routes, with multiple bus lines—including the 42, 43, 86, and 142—passing through the campus. There is also a free shuttle bus in the city center connecting major train stations, parking lots, and Metrolink tram stations.
